How to solve today’s Wordle.
Sunday is here again, making it a very good excuse to curl up with a good book or escape to the couch for some Netflix or video games. Thought I’d open today’s Wordle post with some recommendations!
For shows I just finished watching slow horses on Apple TV+ with Gary Oldman as the washed-up MI5 spy Jackson Lamb. There are currently two seasons and my only complaint is that neither is long enough. The show is excellent but could afford to slow down a bit and give us 8-10 episodes per case.
I wouldn’t recommend it for fantasy and D&D fans The Legend of Vox Machina enough. It’s on Amazon Prime Video and Season 2 aired just a few weeks ago. This is one of the best fantasy shows on TV. Don’t let the fact that it’s animated fool you. It’s very much a show for adults and teenagers. I often complain about how boring big AAA blockbuster movie action scenes are these days. One of my biggest problems with ant man 3 was just how crappy the action was. So, Vox Machina has some of the most imaginative fight sequences out there – and with great characters, tons of humor and lots of imaginative storytelling.
As for video games, check out this crazy one call of Duty clone front lines—Made entirely in Roblox! It’s crazy!
Alright, on to today’s Wordle!
How to solve today’s Wordle

Today’s world
I suspected magic because I thought about it Hogwarts legacy and how i wish they had used a turn based combat system instead of the somewhat shallow action combat system. On the other hand, I think the game would be better than persona JRPG clone than what we got. I was happy to get both “I” and “C” in green boxes, but I didn’t know how good the guess really was until I checked Wordle Bot afterwards and saw that there were only 18 guesses left!
from here, save on computer got me down to just four and gave me a ‘T’ and an ‘O’ in yellow. Unfortunately I wasn’t sure where to go, left with two options for both letters. I chose the wrong word—optical—although it at least narrowed the field down to just one remaining answer: poisonous.
Once again I bound Wordle Bot and got this in four guesses, giving me zero points overall. I give myself Hooray! anyway, because at least I’m not in the red.
Here’s a little bonus. My brother and I went to a Shins concert last year and the opening band Joseph – a trio of sisters – played a cover of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” that was pretty awesome. Much more my style than Britney’s OG version. Listen:
I asked ChatGPT to elaborate on the etymology of “toxic” and this is what he told me:
The word toxic comes from the Latin word toxicus, which means poisoned or poisonous. This Latin word derives from the Greek word “toxikon pharmakon” which refers to an arrow poison.
In ancient times, warriors coated their arrowheads with poison, making them deadly and poisonous to their enemies. Over time, the word “poisonous” has come to be used more generically to mean anything that is poisonous, harmful, or dangerous to living organisms.
Today, the word toxic is used broadly to describe any substance, chemical, or behavior that may harm or have an adverse effect on humans or other living things. It can also be used metaphorically to describe relationships or situations that are unhealthy or harmful.
Toxic Toxic! Sounds like a Harry Potter spell! Or rather curse.
Play world against me!
I was playing a cutthroat PvP Wordle game against my nemesis, Wordle But. Now you should play against me! I can be your nemesis! (And of course your helpful Wordle guide).
Here are the rules:
- 1 point for getting the Wordle in 3 guesses.
- 2 points for getting it in 2 guesses.
- 3 points to get it in 1 installment.
- 1 point for hitting Erik
- 0 points for getting it in 4 guesses.
- -1 point for getting it in 5 installments.
- -2 points for making it in 6 attempts.
- -3 points to lose.
- -1 point for losing to Erik
Your best play would be a hole-in-1 (3 points) and beating me (1 point) for a total of 4. Worst of all would be not guessing the correct answer (-3 points) and losing to me (- 1) point for a total of -4. However, these are outlier values. Usually my worst score is -2 and my best score is +2.
Have a nice day, my dear wordlers!
