After guiding Georgia to back-to-back national championships, quarterback Stetson Bennett wants to prove he can be a legitimate NFL contender with the Scouting Combine.
Bennett performed well compared to expectations on Saturday, standing 5’11” and weighing 192 pounds:
The senior was listed at 5’11”, 190 pounds at Georgia, and it seems there was no exaggeration. In comparison, Bryce Young, the potential No. 1 in the draft, was listed by Alabama at 6’0″, but measured just over 5’10”.
Bennett also did well on the 40-yard dash, showing off his 4.67-second speed:

There were mixed reactions after the run as he didn’t seem to be doing his best:

The goal wasn’t too far away peak times by dual threat quarterbacks Max Duggan (4.52 seconds) and Malik Cunningham (4.53).
Bennett added a long jump of 9ft 10″ and a vertical of 33.5″ on Saturday before showing off his throwing practice skills:

He proved himself a winner in college when he came fourth in voting for the 2022 Heisman Trophy. Over the past two years, he has had 56 total passing touchdowns with 14 interceptions and added 11 rushing touchdowns in that time.
Despite his performance, Bleacher Report’s did not list him among the top 150 players scouting departmentand he’ll likely be a Day 3 draft pick at best.
The Scouting combine offers Bennett an opportunity to improve his stock and show he can compete with the best prospects in the class.
