Shania Twain has revealed the relationship status of a certain couple.
On Monday’s episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast, the country music star was deep in conversation with host Dax Shepard when he finally asked a question that many of Twain’s fans are sure to be curious about.
About an hour and 10 minutes into the chat, a “nervous” Shepard asked if music producer Robert “Mutt” Lange, Twain’s ex-husband was still dating Marie-Anne Thiebaud.
In 2008 the “Man! I feel like a woman!” The singer was embroiled in scandal when Lange left her after 14 years of marriage for Thiebaud, who was then Twain’s best friend.
In reply to Shepard, Twain specified she was no longer embarrassed by the betrayal and confirmed that Lange was still with Thiebaud.
The singer said that while she does speak to her ex about their 21-year-old son, she otherwise doesn’t speak to the couple and “never has.”
“Mutt and I raise well together for people who don’t talk,” the Grammy winner explained. “We just text. We both love our son so much that we don’t play games like that.”
She added: “We have the same priority – we share spaces for him. There’s no nonsense there.”
Twain also said on “Armchair Expert” that she used to have a hard time dealing with infidelity.
“I was uncontrollably fragile about this, which I’ve never felt before because I thought I was stable for once,” said Twain, who opened the episode at length about her difficult childhood. “I really believed that, I’m safe.”
But amid the scandal, there was a huge silver lining for Twain. 2011, pHe ended up marrying Thiebaud’s ex-husband, Fred Thiebaud, and she is still with him to this day.

Twain said that she “didn’t really know Fred well” before Lange’s affair, but fell in love with him after seeing “how gracefully and graciously he handled the same pain.”
“Fred is so smart. This is one of the smartest people I know [and] he did not know [about the affair] neither,” Twain said. “It helped me feel better.”
She added that “everyone gets what they deserve.”
“I got what I deserved,” Twain said. “I have the tallest man in the world.”
As for Marie-Anne Thiebaud, the “You’re Still the One” singer has never been shy about expressing her dislike for her former bestie.
When talk show host Andy Cohen asked her in 2015 if she had any words for her ex-BFF, Twain said: “I wish I had never met you.”
She added: “That would be it. … I think there are some people in life that you would say, ‘I would have been better off never knowing that person.'”
But she had a change of heart later in the interview, telling Cohen that she also grew from the experience.
“I can’t say I’d be better off because I think I’ve learned a lot from all of this. I don’t regret it,” she said.
