Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons still has a long way to go before he joins the coveted 99 Club in Madden NFL 23, but he’s one step closer after his strong showing in last Sunday’s win over the New York Giants.
Parsons is making headlines among this week’s players for a boost in this week’s Madden Ratings update. Reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year up one point to 95.

Parsons recorded three tackles and two sacks in Dallas’ 28-20 win over rivals NFC East. It was his second straight two-sack performance after going two straight games without tripping the quarterback. He is now second in the league with 12 sacks this season.
Alongside Parsons, the Las Vegas Raiders, running back Josh Jacobs after his brilliant performance in an overtime win against the Seattle Seahawks, saw odds increase. The fourth-year streaker rushed for 303 yards from scrimmage and ended the day with an 86-yard walk-off touchdown.

Jacksonville Jaguars sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence also made a step up thanks to his efforts in an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Lawrence had his best game of the season, throwing for 321 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.4 percent of his passes. The 2021 No. 1 overall seems to be figuring things out as he hasn’t thrown an interception in three straight games.
Jacksonville needs to protect its franchise quarterback better, however, as Lawrence has been sacked a total of nine times in his last two games. If he can maintain his clean and efficient play while being better protected from the Jags, expect Lawrence to continue to receive positive attention from Madden ratings adjusters.
