BLOOD ORIGIN receives a new trailer teasing an exciting fantasy adventure — GeekTyrant

Netflix has released a new full trailer for the highly anticipated witcher prequel miniseries The Witcher: Origin of the Blood. The series looks set to deliver an amazing fantasy adventure story full of great characters, great action and beautiful graphics. I love what I’ve seen from this show and I’m pumped to see it!

The story takes place in an elf world 1200 years before the time of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri and The Witcher: Origin of the Blood will tell a tale lost to history: the creation of the first prototype witcher and the events leading up to the crucial conjunction of the spheres, when the worlds of monsters, humans and elves merged into one.

The Witcher: Origin of the Blood The cast is led by three different characters portrayed by Laurence O’Fuarain (viking) as fell; Michelle Yeoh (Everything everywhere at once) as Scian; and Sophia Brown (Giri/Haji, Marcella) as haste. Minnie Driver is also part of the cast.

Laurence O’Fuarain will take on the role of Fjall, who was born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king. He “carries a deep scar, the death of a loved one who fell in battle trying to save him . A scar that won’t let him rest or make peace with himself or the world around him. On his quest for redemption, Fjall will fight alongside the most unlikely of allies as he carves a path of vengeance across a continent in turmoil.”

Michelle Yeoh takes on the role of Scían, “the very last of her nomadic tribe of sword elves. None can come close to their skill with the blade, and none carry so much loss in their hearts. When the opportunity presents itself to retrieve a stolen sacred sword, shamefully stolen from her fallen tribe, she embarks on a deadly quest that will change the continent’s outcome.”

Sophia Brown plays Éile, “an elite warrior who left her clan and position as Queen’s guardian to become a nomadic musician; However, a great reckoning forces them to return to the path of the blade in their quest for vengeance and redemption.”

The Witcher: Origin of the Blood is executive produced by Declan deBarra, who also serves as showrunner. It is directed by Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Judenson. The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will also serve as executive producer. Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski will serve as creative advisor for the series.

The four-part prequel series starts December 25th on Netflix!
