Kem Bromley Art Supplies & Lacuna 5 Harness the power of art
Ken Bromley Art Supplies has partnered with Lacuna 5 to spread awareness climate crisis – the greatest threat of our generation – by the power of art. A row of AI generated Images imagine how famous artists from history would depict some of the most pressing issues threatening our environment, from deforestation to plastic pollution to factory farming.
Combined with the names of famous artists such as Van Gogh, Yayoi Kusama or Claude Monet, AI technology has created totally unique activist artworks, including a portrait of Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg in Andy Warhol’s signature pop art aesthetic.

How would famous artists illustrate the climate crisis?
In early November, political leaders from around the world gathered at the COP26 summit to accelerate global action to prevent climate change. Recently, there has also been an increase in incidents in which climate activists have destroyed famous works of art to protest “The protection of life is more important than the protection of art.” With this attitude UK based Ken Bromley Art Supplies and Content Marketing Agency Lacuna 5 uses the medium of art to raise awareness of the climate emergency and inspire the general public to protect the planet.
Using AI, the project imagines how iconic artists from history could depict the climate crisis if they were alive today. In Salvador Dali’s surrealistic Dreamscape style, the program envisions an exhausting landscape devastated by deforestation, while another composition features a self-portrait of Frida Kahlo, with the defeated artist surrounded by a sea of plastic waste. In another scene, the program mimics Claude Monet’s Impressionist brushstrokes, with calm pastels of purples and blues depicting a toxic power plant emitting a large cloud of smoke over an idyllic natural landscape.
Van Gogh: Melting Ice Caps
Rembrandt: Burning Forests
Hokusai: Flood
Frida Kahlo: Plastic pollution
Salvador Dali: Deforestation
Roy Lichtenstein: Coral Reef Destruction
LS Lowry: Overpopulation
